Abstract


As has been highlighted on many occasions, the medieval nobility studies require a knowledge built on more accurate and secure their networks lineages and parents. Hence the importance of undertaking studies genealogical database and prosopographic as offered here, focusing on the López de Lemos, a famous but little known lineage that represents very well the profile of the nobility that formed the second interior Galicia. The careful genealogical research done to offer a fairly accurate picture of its formation and consolidation process, articulated from the heritage nucleated around the fortress of Ferreira. Under this effort are revealed signs of lineage identity and life trajectories of each of the characters who represented him, standing at last the milestones of their parental relationships and the different branches under their offspring led.
