Abstract


We present in this work 35 documents relating to the book in Santiago de Compostela during the first third of the seventeenth century: printers, booksellers, readers, libraries, printing contracts, purchases, books, loans, manuscripts, authors, inventories and some great names (Castellá Ferrer, Quevedo, Gómez Tonel, Guixard, Tamayo de Vargas, Méndez de Andrade, Bruceña, Pacheco, etc.), belonging to the publishing world of Santiago in the first decades of 17th century.
