This article wants to show the importance that the mountain played in a rural economy orientated as much to the utilization of its natural resources as to its transformation in agrarian space. As in case of the mountain, the exploitation of the wooded stratum, will allow an approximation to the agrarian landscape of the Ribeira Sacra during the XIVth and XVth centuries.
