Cuadernos de Estudios Gallegos

Cuadernos de Estudios Gallegos is a scientific journal published by CSIC and edited by the Instituto de Estudios Gallegos Padre Sarmiento. Presently it focuses on history research, publishing general studies as well as those specifically about Galician history. It also includes book reviews. The journal is aimed at the scientific community both in Spain and around the world, and publishes exclusively original articles written in Galician, Spanish, Portuguese, English, German and French.

Founded in 1944, it began to be available online in 2007, in PDF format, maintaining printed edition until 2024. That year it became an electronic journal publishing in PDF, HTML and XML-JATS. Contents of previous issues are also available in PDF files.

It also publishes a collection of monographs on the same subjects under the title Anejos de Cuadernos de Estudios Gallegos that is published in printed and electronic format and the series Cuadernos de Estudios Gallegos. Monografías in printed and electronic format.

Cuadernos de Estudios Gallegos is indexed in Web of Science: Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI), SCOPUS, CWTS Leiden Ranking (Journal indicators), ERIH Plus, REDIB, DOAJ and other national and international databases. It is indexed in Latindex Catalogue 2.0 and has obtained the FECYT Seal of Quality.
